Unfortunately, Hampton Bay, along with numerous other ceiling fan manufacturers, use entirely sealed motor housings.

If you are experiencing squeaking, only a certified ceiling fan repair shop, or Hampton Bay themselves, should perform the repair. Just so that you have it in mind, Hampton Bay fans are warrantied for life, but you will most likely need to pay to have that piece shipped to them for repair.

If you’re experiencing poor fan performance, I would definitely recommend that you discontinue using your fan and send it in for repair soon. Your other option would be to replace that fan with a higher quality piece such as a Casablanca or high-end Emerson fan.
